A little bit about me!
Originally from the Midwest, I moved to Oakland in 2009 and immediately fell in love with the Bay Area’s rich cultural landscape, awe inspiring natural places, and the social justice activism.
I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at John F. Kennedy University so I could work directly with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I gained my experience in various settings as a school counselor and educational enrichment specialist as well as a mental health advocate for community based agencies in San Francisco, Berkeley, and Oakland.
My approach is strength based. Together, we find and focus on your internal strengths and resources to put you on the healing journey towards health, satisfaction and fulfillment. We can use cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and other modes of talk therapy to cultivate more insight of personal experiences and promote overall contentment, peace, and well being.
